Job Description
Growing medical device company developing life-saving products to a global market is seeking a Mechanical Engineer on a contract basis.  You'll work closely with the product development team to design and test next-gen products!  
 
You'll Get To:
  • Providing engineering support for products from product development through commercialization. 
  • Provide engineering expertise to projects that are being conducted internally and externally for the company. 
  • Assist with conceptual design of products or subassemblies, design for manufacturability, evaluation of design manufacturability, design verification, establishing critical dimensions, and validation of manufacturing processes. 
  • Assist with overseeing and performing various engineering tasks associated with R & D discovery, and product development.
  • Participation in external engineering projects either as a project team member or in the management of external product development projects as assigned.
  • Responsible for, or participation in, the design and execution of experiments aimed at assessing product performance, reliability, and/or manufacturability.
  • Responsible for, or participation in, the evaluation of critical dimensions associated with the performance of various components.
  • Responsible for 3D solid model, 2D drawing, test protocols, technical reports, and other various internal engineering documentation as assigned.
  • Responsible for following and complying with all aspects of the quality system, including the Process Development Process
  • Assist in the conceptual design phase of new projects either as a team member or as the lead engineer as assigned.
  • Participate in the design evaluations aimed at determining manufacturability.
  • Interact internally with engineering and provide assistance/general support as needed in various ongoing company projects.
  • Interact internally in cross-departmental product teams.
  • Awareness of project cost control.
Job Requirements

You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's Degree, Mechanical Engineering
  • 0-5 years of experience
  • Engineering Intern experience, preferably in a medical device setting
  • Exposure and interest in medical device or life-saving technologies
  • Strong communicator and good work ethic
  • Training in engineering R&D testing
  • SolidWorks training or experience
