General Description/Summary:
Assemble large complex equipment using a variety of items and sub-assemblies that are produced for large equipmment for clients and in-house operations.

Essential Functions:
  • Building cable assemblies Junction boxes, Computer Cabinetry, Consoles from blueprints which require soldering, crimping and wiring systems.
  • Discusses layout and assembly requirements with electrical engineers and designers to clarify functional criteria of end unit
  • Maintains company required records and reporting for identified process or equipment
  • Inspect finished equipment and parts
  • Other duties as assigned
Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
  • The working conditions and physical demands for the role are representative of those an employee would meet while performing the essential duties of the position.  Work environment typical of a production assembly shop
  • Able to stand for extended period of time while performing operations
  • Able to perform light lifting unassisted up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to perform lifting operations assisted by tools & equipment in excess of 50 lb
  • Periodic work on elevated platforms up to 12 feet

 
Job Requirements

 

Requirements/Qualifications/Education:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two year technical degree or accredited training program certification in electrical systems preferred.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in electrical/electronics is required and the ability to demonstrate high proficiency in these areas.
  • A thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic components and equipment including the use of special instruments for assembly and diagnostic purposes. Must be able to work well with all levels of employees.
  • High degree of precision work – wiring, soldering, crimping.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (Competencies):
  • Basic use of hand tools
  • Ability to read blue prints and technical specifications
  • Discusses layout and assembly requirements with electrical engineers and designers to clarify functional criteria of end unit
  • Maintains company required records and reporting for identified process or equipment
  • Inspect finished equipment and parts
  • Other duties as assigned
